Microsoft's Press Conference

Microsoft's big annoucement doodad was today! Here are the highlights:

- Left 4 Dead 2!? L4D hasn't even been out that long, and they're already getting ready for a sequel? Better yet, a sequel that should be released in November?! If it's truly that close, I expect that they're going to have a playable version on the floor, and I'm going to stand in line all day if I have to to play that sucker. In other words, PILLS HERE!

- Crackdown 2 is coming sometime in 2010, even though I've never played the first, I've always heard good things about it.

- Two Halo announcements, first off Halo:ODST is priced as a complete game instead of just an expansion pack. Not too sure if it'll deliver there, but the Collector's Edition controller is awesome looking.

- The second Halo announcement is that a new game is coming (act surprised) sometime late 2010. Halo:Reach is probably going to take place on the planet of Reach before the timeline of Halo 1. Does this mean we'll see the OPistol again? Possibly. Conveniently enough, if you buy Halo:ODST you get an invite to the Halo:Reach multiplayer beta sometime in the future.

- The Beatles: Rock Band. My parents are bigger Beatles fans than I am, but this looks really well done. I'm picking this up for sure, even though I'll have to endure my mom singing 'Back in the USSR' forty times.

- Final Fantasy XIII coming to the 360 in spring 2010, although take that date with a grain of salt.

- Last.FM is coming to Xbox Live for Gold Subscribers. Although I've always been more of a Pandora man, this is absolutely great news. Now I really want to know if you could turn Last.FM on and leave it playing while you go play some GoW...

- Metal Gear Solid: Rising announced for Xbox 360. The problem? It's starring fucking Raiden. Snake? Snake?! SNAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!

- For all you racing game addicted, Forza 3 is coming this October.

- Perhaps the most interesting thing they put on display there, although I'll believe it's that good when I see it. You thought putting a Wiimote through the TV was bad? Try your fist. :P
